Rita, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Our pups are just a furry part of our family so my heart goes out to you. Prayers for comfort.

Oh, Rita, I'm so sorry. I had to put my terrier to sleep three years ago yesterday. It was hard ... I still get teary when I think about how devoted he was to me. He followed me everywhere! Remember ... all dogs go to heaven! :-)

Dear Rita,
My thoughts are with you. I loved her picture, she is so pretty. Very, very difficult to experience the loss of pets, often they me more to us than people.
Sincerely,
Sondra

Oh gosh- I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. I follow your blog regularly (even if I don't comment much). As a blogger myself, I never know what to write or when to write or how to put anything into words when something like this happens.
She obviously made you very happy, and I'm sure you made her life wonderful and happy too.

Oh Rita, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved friend!
Wenn my grandma died many years ago (I was a child then), her old, giant mastiff didn't take his food, anymore, because he missed her so badly. Four days later he died. Animals/pets do not mourn?! Aw, come on...!
You'll never find a friend that's more loyal to you than a dog - and his death can leave a great whole in our lives - like my dog Ikarus' passing away did a few years ago. I still miss him.
I'll try to send some light and energy for you over the ocean.

Sorry! "When", of course, not "wenn", haha! "Wenn" is German :D

Our pets are a huge part of our family. It is so difficult to lose one. We've lost several in the past and will lose more in the future. We are so lucky and fortunate to have them be a part of our lives.

And yes, pets do mourn people and other pets. Chloe had two kitties. One of them cried when they had their chance to say goodbye, it was heartbreaking. The two cats would not sleep on her beds for more than a week and they used to hog them all the time. This weekend we plan to store more of Chloe's things and maybe someday someone else will get to enjoy them.

Thank you all for your support.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Wonderful that you could share time and love with her! It took me a long time after I had to put Guess down (she had Addisons), but I now have two older dogs that I adopted from the Humane Society. I wanted to adopt dogs that others might pass by because of their age - and they are lots of fun. Still active and a lot of good company!
